Hyperlapse Photography

Hyperlapse is an evolution of the time-lapse technique that is variously known as moving time-lapse, walklapse, spacelapse, or stop-motion. I think of it as time-lapse on steroids. Whereas time-lapse is usually created from a sequence of images taken at intervals from a camera in a fixed position, hyperlapse is shot using a free-moving camera position. At it's simplest, the camera is moved manually between each shot and may cover anything from a few meters to many kilometres capturing a continually changing point of view. There is always a degree of stabilisation required in post production to 'lock-down' the final result.
